Transit Hotel Application Requirements

Length of stopover, entry visa, booking must be made 48 hours or more before departure and there is a quota limit. If you are eligible for Emirates free connecting flights, there should be a ‘Special Free Benefit’ at the bottom of the Manage Order page on the official website to apply for connecting flights to Dubai, and you will be given an accommodation voucher (Hotel Voucher) when you check in at your Deparature Airport.

Depending on the length of the stopover, it must be the ‘most suitable’ transfer option.

It has to be the case that there is no earlier and more suitable articulation opportunity.

• If travelling in Premium Economy or Economy Class, the ‘Dubai Transfer Service’ is available to passengers booked on or after 11 October 2022 with a stopover time of 10 to 24 hours or 8 to 26 hours.
• For travel in First or Business Class, bookings made on or after 20 July 2023 with a layover of 6 to 26 hours

Entry Visa

An entry visa for the United Arab Emirates must be successfully obtained in order to enjoy the Dubai transfer service, depending on nationality and duration of the transfer.

• A visa is not required if the transfer is only at Dubai Airport and the duration of the stopover does not exceed 24 hours and the nationality is a visa-free country.
• If you need to stay in Dubai for more than 24 hours or your nationality is not on the list of visa-free countries, you need to apply for a visa. It is recommended that you check whether your nationality requires a visa before departure and complete the relevant formalities in a timely manner.

Dubai Transit Visa Process

Dubai visas are processed between 14 days and 48 hours prior to departure and it is recommended that a letter be sent to the UAE Visa Services Unit at DubaiConnect@emirates.com 14 days prior to arrival in Dubai.

Travellers must successfully obtain an entry visa for the United Arab Emirates to enjoy the Dubai transfer. The United Arab Emirates Immigration Department has the right to issue visas and Emirates will not be responsible for any refusal to issue a visa.

• Passengers of certain nationalities do not require a visa to enter the United Arab Emirates. If a passenger’s nationality requires a visa on arrival, Emirates will pre-arrange this for that passenger. After booking your Dubai transfer, please go to the Dubai Transfer Visa Page to apply for a visa and have it ready on arrival.
• If a visa is not required, please collect your Dubai transfer voucher at the airport check-in counter prior to departure. If the passenger’s nationality requires a visa on arrival, go to the Dubai Transfer Visa page and provide Emirates with the necessary information, which will enable Emirates to apply for the passenger’s visa.

Step 1 Book Dubai Transfer Service

Please use the form to select a traveller, enter the necessary information and request your room assignment, click on the Emirates website, enter your passport’s ‘Surname’, ‘Reservation Code’ and then click on ‘Book Dubai Transit Service’. Transit services include airport and hotel pick-up and drop-off, room breaks, showers, and meals, which are free of charge for those who meet the eligibility criteria.

Step 2 Your request has been received

We will receive your request as soon as you submit the form. We will arrange a hotel room for you subject to availability and United Arab Emirates visa status.

We are unable to obtain visas prior to departure and will go directly to the Dubai Connect counter in Terminal 3 for aftercare assistance upon arrival.

Step 3 Collect the voucher at the check-in counter

Dubai transfer vouchers must be collected at the Emirates check-in counter before boarding your flight to Dubai.

Dubai airport is a large 24-hour international airport, there are a lot of transit passengers, but the actual entry of Dubai travellers is not much, 0530 arrived at Dubai airport, 0600 to the arrival hall.

The hotel is located near the airport. Upon arrival, we checked in at the front desk with our passports and presented our hotel vouchers, passports, and boarding passes to the staff at the front desk, and then we were given the keys to our room. The hotel provides three meals, and the meals are free of charge when you present your room card and hotel vouchers.

We flew to Geneva at 1430, when we checked in, the hotel staff said that they would provide wake up alarm at 1100, and get on the bus back to Dubai Airport at 1130, and unpacked the hotel room at 0640.

Simple and clean, with free internet, large towels, toiletries, hair dryer, but you need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers.

Although it is not luxurious, comfortable and free of charge, keep thankful for a good rest, rest comfortably in the room for a while, eat a hotel breakfast (breakfast served until 11am), take the shuttle bus back to the airport on the same way to exit and re-safety check!

✈️ Dubai transfer reminder

1. The time difference between Dubai and Taiwan is 4 hours slow must adjust the time, if not electronic watch, the time needs to be adjusted, so as to avoid checking the wrong time
